  • WINNING STREAK EXTENDED TO THREE FOR THE SAINTS, 75-60

    Four Saints starters posted double-figures as the Women's Basketball team posted a 75-60 win on Thursday evening against the Newbury College Nighthawks to record their third victory in a row on the Andy Yosinoff Court, completing an all-time 5-0 record for EC against the Hawks.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Junior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time this semester, it was announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office. This marks the fifth time of her career that she has been named the GNAC Player of the Week.

    Five University of Massachusetts – Boston players were able to score double digits to beat the Emmanuel College Saints on the Andy Yosinoff Court on Tuesday evening, despite a 30 point and 13 rebound performance by junior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.), 80-69.

  • YOSINOFF SETS NCAA D-III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WINS RECORD

    BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College women’s basketball Head Coach Andy Yosinoff rewrote the NCAA record books by earning his 816th career coaching win as the Emmanuel Saints posted a 68-58 victory over Ramapo College on December 30th. The victory moves Yosinoff to the top of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball annals, passing former Scranton Head Coach Mike Strong (1980-14) for the most wins by a head coach in NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball history.

    Providence, R.I. - The Emmanuel College women's basketball team erased a 17-point deficit to come from behind and pick up a 75-71 overtime win against host Rhode Island College on Monday evening in non-conference play at the Murray Center. The victory was win #815 for EC Head Coach Andy Yosinoff, tying him for the most wins in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball history.
  • MIT HOLDS ON TO TOP WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, 72-69

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - First-year Christina Antonakakis (Holmdel, N.J.) drained a three-pointer with 1:09 left to play, giving the MIT women's basketball team a 72-69 victory over Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon. One of four players to reach-double digits in scoring, senior Kristen Ngan (Sudbury, Mass.) led the way for the Engineers with 14 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals. Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda paced the Saints with a game-high 17 points and 12 rebounds in addition to contributing four assists and three steals.
  • GLOBETROTTERS VISIT FIIN & WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM

    BOSTON, Mass. - On December 6, the two members from the Harlem Globetrotters visited the Emmanuel College campus to say hello to EC sophomore Jamad Fiin (Boston, Mass.) and her teammates after seeing a video of Fiin that went viral earlier in the month. Fiin's story went viral on social media after she published a video of her wearing the traditional Muslim hijab and playing basketball. The Globetrotters wanted to show their support to Fiin and stop by to campus and teach her and her teammates some tricks of their own.

    THE LEAD: The Emmanuel College women’s basketball team cruised to a 114-40 non-conference victory over Pine Manor College Thursday evening on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints improve to 6-1 on the year, matching their best start since the 2012-13 campaign.

    NEW LONDON, Conn. - Senior guard Madison McLaughlin (Westerly, R.I) scored a career-high 36 points with eight three pointers to lift the Emmanuel College women’s basketball team over host Connecticut College, 79-67, Tuesday evening at Luce Field House. The loss was the first of the year for the Camels (7-1) who had been previously unbeaten through seven contests while the Saints move to 5-1 on the year.

    BOSTON, Mass. - The guard duo of Maddie McLaughlin (Westerly, R.I) and Molly deBettencourt (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) shot for a combined 10-17 from behind the arc for Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon on the Andy Yosinoff court to propel the Saints to a non-conference victory against Salem State University, 84-65.

    BOSTON, Mass. - Junior guard Hannah Fox (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) led the #7 Amherst College Mammoths to a road victory over the Emmanuel College Saints on Tuesday evening despite double digit performances by Yuleska Ramirez Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and Kayla Weaver (West Haven, Conn.), 78-48.

    BOSTON, Mass. -   Junior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the United States Basketball Writer’s Association (USBWA) Women's Division III Player of the Week as well as the New England Women’s Basketball Association (NEWBA) Player of the Week, it was announced earlier today by each organization. This marks the first time in program history that a Saint has been named the National Player of the Week and the second time in Ramirez-Tejeda’s career that she’s been honored as the NEWBA Player of the Week.

    WALTHAM, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women's basketball team cruised to a 94-67 non-conference road victory over Brandeis University in both squad's final contest before Thanksgiving on Tuesday evening. The Judges fall to 1-2 with the loss, while the Saints improve to 3-0.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Junior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while freshman forward Loredana D’Agostino (Broad Brook, Conn.) has been named the GNAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office. This marks the first conference honor for D’Agostino while the Player of the Week honors for Ramirez-Tejeda are the second of her career with the Saints.
