    BIDDEFORD, Maine – University of Southern Maine held off an impressive second-round surge from Johnson & Wales University to claim the 2019 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golf Championship at the Biddeford-Saco Country Club on Sunday afternoon. The Huskies carded a 299 on day two with a 596 36-hole score to stave off the Wildcats, who shaved 16 strokes off the opening day effort with a 294 score and finished as the runner-up with a 604 overall card.

    BIDDEFORD, Maine – Through 18 holes at the Biddeford-Saco Country Club, University of Southern Maine leads the eight-team Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golf Championship field with a 297 card, 11 strokes ahead of current runner-up Saint Joseph’s College (308).

    THE LEAD: The Saints golf team finished in 11th place with a team total of 871 at the Elms College Blazer Invitational. Westfield State topped the field with a team score of 597 while Ryan Koczela of Westfield and Mike Strong of Springfield College shared medalist honors with a two-day total of 143 (-1).

    WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Saints golf team finished in ninth place with a team total of 444 on Thursday afternoon in the Brett Williamson Invitational at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Mass. Westfield State University finished the afternoon with the lowest team score of 302, with Reese Dwyer from MCLA firing a 72 (+1) to earn individual medalist honors.
  • Golf Opens the Season at the EC Saints Invitational

    The Saints golf team finished in fourth place with a team total of 397 in the opening match on Tuesday afternoon at the South Shore Country Club in Hingham, Mass. Elms College finished the afternoon with the lowest score of 322, with Dean College and Mitchell College placing second and third respectively with 346 and 347 points.
