2011 SEASON IN REVIEW

The Emmanuel College women's volleyball team enjoyed a highly productive 2011 campaign that saw the program post an overall record of 21-16 to go along with an impressive 10-3 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The 21 victories was the program's highest total since the 2006 season and for the second time in three years, the Saints were able to earn a berth to the ECAC New England Tournament for their stellar regular season record. read more

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LANDS FOUR ON GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE SQUAD

Four players from the Emmanuel College women's volleyball team have been selected by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference as members of the 2011 GNAC All-Conference team, it was announced on November 8 by the commissioner's office. Senior middle hitter Rebecca Stanton (Quincy, Mass.) has been selected as a member of the GNAC First Team, senior setter Kathryne Olsen (Fairhaven, Mass.) has been selected as a member of the GNAC Second Team, senior outside hitter Jenna Ross (Centerburg, Ohio) has been selected as a member of the GNAC Third Team and junior libero Yun-Ting Lee (Cambridge, Mass.) has been selected as a member of the GNAC Third Team while also being honored as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. This marks the first time since the 2006 season that four individuals from the Saints were honored by the conference during the same season. read more

SAINTS FALL TO ENDICOTT IN FIVE-SET ECAC HEARTBREAKER

The third-seeded Endicott College Gulls outlasted the sixth-seeded Emmanuel Saints, 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-13), in the Quarterfinals of the ECAC Division III New England Women's Volleyball Tournament. The five-setter was hosted by the Gulls and played in Endicott's MacDonald Gymnasium. Endicott will now advance to face #2 Plymouth State University on Saturday, November 12th in the tournament semifinals. Emmanuel's season comes to a close with an overall record of 21-16. read more
