SAINTS WRAP REGULAR SEASON WITH 7-2 DEFEAT OF LESLEY

The Emmanuel Women's Tennis Team wrapped up the 2011 regular season with a 7-2 win over visiting Lesley University on Monday night.

TENNIS TEAM ROLLS TO 7-2 WIN OVER BLUE JAYS

The Emmanuel College Women's Tennis Team handed Saint Joseph College a 7-2 loss on Monday afternoon.

AS A JUNIOR...Lesko went undefeated during the 2010 season, winning matches in both theNo. 3andNo. 5singles positions...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll...10/11/10... helped the Saints to an 8-6 overall record, a 5-3 GNAC mark, and the program's 8th-straight GNAC Tournament appearance...selected to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team...was selected the Emmanuel's Most Improved Player for 2010.

AS A SOPHOMORE...Lesko joined the Saints squad and played in a total of four singles matches...played 2 matches at No. 4 singles, one match at No. 2 singles and one match at No. 5 singles...went undefeated on the season at 4-0...helped lead Emmanuel to an 11-5 overall record and a trip to the GNAC semifinals in 2009.

AS A FRESHMAN....Lesko did not play on the Emmanuel Women's Tennis Team.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Lesko was a four-year player and four-year starter on the varsity tennis team at Plymouth South High School (Plymouth, Mass.)...played 2nd doubles as a freshman and sophomore, 1st doubles as a junior and 3rd singles as a senior...was voted the team's "Most Improved Player" after her senior year...her most memorable moment during high school was winning both matches in a double-header against Sandwich and Situate High Schools, winning both of her matches at 3rd singles in her senior year.
