BEFORE EMMANUEL...Sperl was a three-year starter on the varsity softball team at Berkshire School (Sheffield, Mass.), playing multiple positions on the team...captained the team as a senior and led the squad to a Western New England Prep School Athletic Association Championship...was a two-time winner of the Mary Ellen Welch award for dedication and sportsmanship.
