SOFTBALL TEAM WRAPS SEASON WITH PAIR OF LOSSES TO JWU

The Saints took the Wildcats into extra innings in the opener, before falling 7-6 in eight innings. JWU took game two handily, winning 7-0.

LEVINS' NO-HITTER LEADS SAINTS OVER BUCCANEERS

The Emmanuel College Softball Team cruised to an 11-0 shutout of Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday night, backed by a phenomenal pitching display from sophomore Julia Levins (Uxbridge, Mass.), who threw her first ever no-hitter.

SHARKS SNAG TWO IN COLLEGES OF THE FENWAY SOFTBALL DUAL

The Simmons College Sharks picked up their second doubleheader sweep of the week, defeating the Emmanuel College Saints, 9-0 in five innings and 2-0 in seven, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

AS A FRESHMAN... Appeared in seven games, getting four starts on the season includingtwo contests on the hill while getting a pair of starting nods in the field ... Posted a team-low 4.50 ERA to go along with a 2-2 record while also recording the team's only save on the season ... Held opponents to a .266 batting average over 23.1 innings of work, striking out six on the year while also recording one complete game ... In limited action at the plate, notched two RBI while scoring one run on the year ... Received the Coach's Appreciation Award.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Garrity was a 4-year player on the varsity softball team at Lynn Classical High School (Lynn, Mass.)...led her team to Northeast Conference Championships as a sophomore and a senior...was voted a conference All-Star for two years and team captain as a junior and senior...was an Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) recipient for "Women in Sports"...played summer ball for a Babe Ruth All-Star team, which won two state championships and took 2nd place in the New England Regionals.
