Emmanuel's senior Laureyn Furtney was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the week on October 13th. This is the second time this season that Furtney has received this honor. Furtney's 2nd keeper of the week honor came after the Barrington, NH native allowed just one goal in Emmanuel's two conference wins last week. She recorded her 3rd shut-out of the season on October 7th, when she led the Saints to a 5-0 win over Rivier College. Furtney followed up that performance by making 4 saves in Emmanuel's 5-1 victory over Suffolk University on October 11th. The senior, who played the full 180:00 minutes in net last week, totaled 8 saves on the week and allowed just one goal for a 0.50 goals against average and a .889 save percentage. Furtney's stellar play in net for Emmanuel has helped the team to an 8-4 mark on the season and a 6-1 GNAC record so far this season.
