SAINTS RECOGNIZE FALL ALL-CONFERENCE HONOREES

Entering his 9th season as Emmanuel College's Head Women's Soccer Coach, Wayne Currie will look to continue the success that he has built during his first eight years with the program. In 2003, Coach Currie led the Saints to the program's first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Saints captured their second GNAC Championship in 2007 and set a program record for wins in a season with 17 victories. The past two seasons, Coach Currie has led Emmanuel to the finals of the GNAC Tournament and to consecutive ECAC bids. In eight seasons at Emmanuel, Coach Currie has compiled an overall record of 82 wins, 66losses and 9 ties.

Currie came to Emmanuel after ten successful seasons as a high school coach at both Dracut High School and King Philip Regional High School. Throughout his tenure, his teams have won eight conference championships. Currie was named "Coach of the Year" seven times.

In addition to his high school and collegiate coaching experience, Currie has been active in the youth soccer scene. He is currently serving as Director of Coaching for PASA FC. He has also coached for Charles River United, Metro Black Magic, and Inter-County Soccer Club. Currie continues to dedicate his time coaching at many camps and youth soccer organizations.

Currie received his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in 1988 and a master's degree in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts in 1990. In addition, he has a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) license and holds a National Advanced Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Currie is an adjunct faculty member at Middlesex Community College, where he teaches several Psychology classes. Currie resides in Haverhill, Mass. with his wife, the former Tiffany Rollins, daughter Mackenzie and son Kaiden.
