SAINTS WRAP SEASON WITH 4-3 LOSS AT CURRY

In the final game of the 2011 season for both teams, the Emmanuel College Saints were defeated by Curry College, 4-3, in non-conference women's soccer action played in Milton on Tuesday night.

ALBERTUS MAGNUS TOO MUCH FOR WOMEN'S SOCCER, 2-1

Roke nets two goals to lead Falcons past Saints

AS A JUNIOR ... Played in and started 16 games in the Saints backfield, missing several games mid-season due to an injury ... Enjoyed most productive offensive numbers of her career, posting nine points on the campaign on two goals and a team-high five assists ... Netted the game-winning goal to go along with an assist in the Saints 3-2 win over Norwich on October 2 ... Dished out two assists on September 15 vs. Emerson College ... Converted a penalty kick while adding an assists in the Saints come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over Wentworth on September 9 ... Helped the team post four shutouts and a 2.05 goals against average ... Named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference team.

AS A SOPHOMORE ... Continued to be a mainstay in the Saints backfield unit by playing in 21 contests and starting all but one ... Aided in the defensive team posting a 1.68 goals against average while recording seven shutouts on the campaign ... Dished out a career-high three assists on the year, all coming on game-winning goals in wins over Rivier College on October 7, Fitchburg State on October 14 and the biggest coming in a 1-0 victory over Saint Josephs (CT) during the GNAC Semifinals on November 4 ... Named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference team.

AS A FRESHMAN ... Worked her way into a starting spot in the Saints backfield, playing in 21 contests while getting 17 starts ... Helped the defensive unit post a 1.52 goals against average to go along with five shutouts on the year and advance the GNAC Championship game ... Scored first collegiate goal and her only tally of the season on senior day to lift the Saints to a 7-2 victory over Albertus Magnus on October 16.

BEFORE EMMANUEL: Earned four varsity letters playing soccer at Saratoga Springs High School where she was a three-year starter ... Named to the All-Academic team all four seasons at SSHS ... Selected as a team captain during senior campaign in which she was also honored as a 2nd Team All-Conference Player in the Capital District League ... Awarded the Blue Streak Backer and MVP Awards following senior season.
