EMMANUEL HOSTS JWU IN PINK ZONE GAME - EMMANUEL OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball Team hosted Johnson & Wales University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game in the Jean Yawkey Center on Saturday afternoon. The game was part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "PINK ZONE" effort.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball Team hosted Johnson & Wales University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game in the Jean Yawkey Center on Saturday afternoon. The game was part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "PINK ZONE" effort. The Pink Zone is a breast cancer awareness organization, raising funds nationwide for breast cancer. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations at this game have been sent to the WBCA.

Both, the Saints and the Wildcats wore pink warm-up shirts during their pre-game activities and posed together for a PINK ZONE picture. Both teams' coaching staffs also sported pink attire and the three referees officiated the game with hot pink whistles.

Emmanuel College (EC) Superfan T-shirts were raffled off to any fans, who attended the game wearing pink clothing. The game between the Saints and the Wildcats was just one of 13 GNAC women's basketball PINK ZONE games played throughout New England this week.
