SAINTS SHOCK KING'S, 67-56; EMMANUEL ENTERS ELITE EIGHT

Junior forward Fiona O'Dwyer (Stamford, Conn.) poured in a game-high 24 points, including the 1,000th of her collegiate career, to lead the Saints. Emmanuel will now take on No. 1 Amherst College in the National Quarterfinals on Saturday.

SAINTS STORM INTO SWEET 16; WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ROLLS TO 57-52 REGIONAL FINAL WIN

The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball Team upset host Rhode Island College, 57-52, in the NCAA Division III Regional Final, handing the Anchorwomen their first home loss of the season.

SAINTS MARCH PAST HARTWICK; EMMANUEL ADVANCES TO NCAA ROUND OF 32

Kirwan & O'Dwyer play key roles as Emmanuel advances in NCAAs. Saints will take on Rhode Island College on Saturday night for a spot in the NCAA Sweet 16.

AS A SOPHOMORE...O'Dwyer started in 27 of 29 games played for the Saints...was second on the team in scoring with 13.4 points per games...shot 48.9% (176-360) from the floor for the year...led Emmanuel and was 9th in the GNAC in rebounding with 7.4 boards per night...named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll twice (1/24, 2/28)...named to the EC Invitational All-Tournament Team and the GNAC All-Tournament Team...was voted a GNAC 3rd Team All-Conference selection...received GNAC Academic All-Conference honors...named Emmanuel's Most Improved Player for the 2010-11 season...totaled a team-high 43 blocked shots, as well as 41 steals and 37 assists....helped lead the Saints to a 21-8 overall record, an undefeated GNAC mark (12-0), the program's 5th-straight GNAC Championship and 16th NCAA Tournament appearance.

AS A FRESHMAN...O'Dwyer played in all 28 of Emmanuel's games played as a rookie...started in 11 games...was the team's fifth leading scorer, averaging 6.1 points per game...was Emmanuel's second leading rebounder, hauling in 6.0 rebounds per night...led the team in field goal percentage...shot 43.6% (71-163) from the floor and 67.5% (27-40) from the free throw line...dished out 34 assists, collected 27 steals and blocked 8 shots...was named to the California Lutheran Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team...selected the GNAC Rookie of the Week on January 4, 2010...helped Emmanuel go 22-6 on the season, win the program's fourth-straight GNAC Championship and make a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...O'Dwyer was a four-year player on the varsity team at Stamford High School (Stamford, Conn.)...was a three-year starter as a sophomore, junior and senior...named 1st Team All-FCIAC and All-State as a senior...was a two-sport athlete in high school, also playing on the soccer team.
