The Emmanuel Women's Basketball Team overcame a two-point halftime deficit to top Saint Joseph's College (Me.), 60-46, in a battle of unbeaten teams in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

Prior to the start of the game, the Saints celebrated the careers of the two seniors on the squad, Meghan Kirwan (Melrose, Mass.) and Breanna Ockimey (Philadelphia, Pa.). The duo led the way, combining for 32 points in the win.

The Saints cruise to the GNAC win with four starters in double-figures
AS A JUNIOR...Ockimey played in 29 games and started in 3 of them...averaged 6.0 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game...selected the team's Unsung Hero for the 2010-11 season...received GNAC Academic All-Conference honors for the second-straight year... helped the Saints to a 21-8 overall record, an undefeated GNAC mark (12-0), the program's 5th-straight GNAC Championship and 16th NCAA Tournament appearance...named one of the team's co-captains for the 2011-12 season....will represent the Saints Women's Basketball Team as the Secretary of Emmanuel's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
AS A SOPHOMORE...Ockimey started in 3 of her 28 games played, helping Emmanuel to a 22-6 overall mark...was the Saints' fourth leading scorer, averaging 7.1 points per game...shot 36.3% (69-190) from the floor and 34.8% (23-66) from the three point land...hauled in 47 rebounds...dished out 25 assists...collected 17 steals...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on January 25, 2010...selected to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team...helped the Saints win their fourth-straight GNAC title and make another NCAA appearance...received the team's Most Improved Player Award after the 2009-10 season.
AS A FRESHMAN...Ockimey started in 9 of her 29 games played for the Saints, helping the team to a 22-8 overall record...was the team's fourth leading scorer as a rookie, averaging 6.1 points per game...was second on the team in free throw percentage, shooting 73.2% (30-41)...totaled 83 rebounds, 28 assists and 24 steals for the Saints...helped Emmanuel to the team's third-straight GNAC Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...Ockimey was a four-year starter as a small forward on the varsity team at the Academy of Notre Dame(Villanova, Pa.)...averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds, leading the team to a 32-8 overall record and an Independent League Championship...was named All-Delco, All-Main Line, All-Main Line Life and an All-Inter AC All-Star...played AAU ball for the Comets.
