SAINTS SHOCK KING'S, 67-56; EMMANUEL ENTERS ELITE EIGHT

Junior forward Fiona O'Dwyer (Stamford, Conn.) poured in a game-high 24 points, including the 1,000th of her collegiate career, to lead the Saints. Emmanuel will now take on No. 1 Amherst College in the National Quarterfinals on Saturday.

SAINTS STORM INTO SWEET 16; WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ROLLS TO 57-52 REGIONAL FINAL WIN

The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball Team upset host Rhode Island College, 57-52, in the NCAA Division III Regional Final, handing the Anchorwomen their first home loss of the season.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CAPTURES SIXTH STRAIGHT GNAC TITLE WITH 68-57 VICTORY OVER ST. JOSEPH'S

The Saints are headed to the NCAA tournament for the 11th time in the past 12 seasons

AS A SOPHOMORE...Benvenuto transferred into Emmanuel College and played in 29 games and started in 6 of them...averaged 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Saints...totaled 85 points, 62 rebounds, 35 assists and 31 steals...selected to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team...received GNAC Academic All-Conference honors... helped the Saints to a 21-8 overall record, an undefeated GNAC mark (12-0), the program's 5th-straight GNAC Championship and 16th NCAA Tournament appearance.

AS A FRESHMAN...Benvenuto attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina...played club basketball, leading her team to the semifinals of the East Coast Women's Club Basketball League, before losing to Duke University.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Benvenuto was a four-year player and three-year starter on the varsity team at Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, N.J.)...named 1st team All-County and received All-State Honorable Mention recognition her senior year...led her team to the non-parochial state finals during her senior year...was a two-sport high school athlete, also playing two years at soccer.
