The win lifts the Saints to 15-6 overall and 11-1 in GNAC play while the loss drops the Cadets to 12-8 overall and 7-5 in the GNAC.

    FOX LEADS WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OVER SIMMONS, 75-61 BOSTON, Mass. – Junior guard Alisha Fox (National Park, N.J.) netted 14 points and the Emmanuel College (Mass.) defense forced 37 turnovers en-route to a 75-61 victory over host Simmons College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference women’s basketball contest this afternoon at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Saints have won eight of their last nine games and improve to 14-6 overall, including 10-1 in league play, while the Sharks fall to 5-10 and 5-5.

The Saints improve to 13-6 on the year and 9-1 in GNAC play while the loss moves the Falcons to 11-8 and 6-4 in the GNAC.

    WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HANGS WITH No. 1 JUMBOS BOSTON, Mass. – The Tufts University women’s basketball team used an 11-0 run to open the second quarter to pull away from Emmanuel College in a 69-48 win Tuesday evening in non-conference action on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Jumbos, who are ranked No. 1 in the most recent D3hoops.com national poll, stay perfect on the year improving to 19-0 while the loss ends the Saints six-game winning streak, dropping them to 12-6 on the season.

The loss sends the Raiders to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference while Emmanuel improves to 10-5, 6-1 GNAC.

    No. 2 AMHERST CHARGES PAST WOMEN'S HOOPS, 69-40 BOSTON, Mass. – In a balanced offensive effort that saw three players in double figures, No. 2 Amherst College downed the Emmanuel College women’s basketball team, 69-40, Tuesday evening in non-conference action at the Jean Yawkey Center. Merideth Doswell (Richmond, Va.) scored a game high 19 points with 15 of them coming in the second half while also contributing nine rebounds. Amherst moves to 4-0 on the year as Emmanuel drops to 1-3 overall.

The Saints earn the No. 2 spot behind the Wildcats in the South division.
