AS A JUNIOR...Rietz transferred in to Emmanuel from Santa Barbara City College...played in 33 matches for the Saints...second on the team in kills (3.15 per set), digs (1.75 per set), blocks (0.64 per set) and aces (0.50 per set)...voted GNAC 2nd Team All-Conference...nominated for AVCA All-American...named to both the GNAC and NECVA All-Academic Teams...totaled 343 kills, 191 digs, 70 blocks, 42 assists and 54 aces...helped lead Emmanuel to a program-best 27 wins, including a trip to the GNAC Finals and to the NECVA Tournament.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...Rietz was a starter and team captain at Santa Barbara City College (Santa Barbara, Calif.)...named the team's Most Valuable Player and 1st Team Western States Conference as a freshman and a sophomore ('08, '09)...played two seasons of volleyball and three seasons of soccer at Granite Bay High School (Granite Bay, Calif.)....named Sierra Foothill League Co-MVP in 2006.
