The 13th ranked Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball Team dropped the opening match of their 2012 campaign to Springfield College, 3-0, on Wednesday night in the Jean Yawkey Center.

EMMANUEL MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SEASON PREVIEW
The Saints, who were ranked 12th nationally in the AVCA preseason poll, are coming off the best season in program history and return seven veterans from last year's record-setting team.
AS A SOPHOMORE...McKeen played in 27 matches for the Saints...totaled 62 digs, 32 kills, 17 blocks and 10 service aces...helped the Saints to their second consecutive program-record for wins in a season, as Emmanuel went 28-9 on the year and advanced to the NECVA Tournament for the third-straight season.
AS A FRESHMAN...McKeen played in 18 matches for the Saints...totaled 51 kills, 48 digs, 5 blocks and 2 assists...named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on 3/22/10...helped the Saints to a program-best 27 wins, including making a trip to the GNAC Finals and to the NECVA Tournament.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...McKeen was a four-year player and two-year starter on the varsity team at Xaverian Brothers High School (Westwood, Mass.)...led his team in aces and won the conference championship in 2009...named the team's Unsung Hero in 2009 and received the Coach's Award in 2008.
