The 13th ranked Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball Team dropped the opening match of their 2012 campaign to Springfield College, 3-0, on Wednesday night in the Jean Yawkey Center. Springfield was ranked 2nd in the country in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll and the Pride improved to 3-4 overall with the win (26-24, 25-14, 25-22). read more

On January 20, the Emmanuel College men's volleyball team welcomed back 16 alumni of the program for the first-ever EC Alumni Volleyball game Friday evening at the Jean Yawkey Center gymnasium. The Saints, who were ranked #12 in the country in the 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association Pre-Season Poll, were able to take care of business against some of their former teammates with a convincing 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-22) victory. read more

With a new GNAC Tournament format and the inaugural season for NCAA Division III Tournament action, the Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball Team is geared up for 2012. The Saints are coming off the best season in program history and return seven veterans from last year's record-setting team. The 2011 Saints boasted a 28-win campaign, which featured an 11-1 record among Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponents, and a trip to the 2nd round of the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Tournament. Emmanuel College received its highest-ever preseason ranking on January 11th, when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) ranked the Saints 12th nationally heading into the 2012 season. read more
