Freshman defender Ivan Barrera (Millis, MA) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's (GNAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the opening week of the season. Barrera netted Emmanuel's first goal of the season and the first of his collegiate career, helping the Saints to a 3-1 win over Newbury College on Saturday afternoon. Barrera scored unassisted just eight minutes into the game.
