EMMANUEL UPSETS EMERSON FOR FIRST-EVER MEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT WIN

The Emmanuel College Men's Soccer Team earned the program's first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament win on Sunday afternoon, when the sixth-seeded Saints upset third-seeded Emerson College, 3-2.

AS A FRESHMAN... One of only two freshmen to play in all 18 games, getting the starting nod in 16 contests ... Made collegiate debut on September 1 vs. Curry College ... Registered first collegiate points in a 2-1 victory over Elms College on September 8, registering assists on both goals ... Helped the Saints defensive unit post a 1.71 goals against average while recording four shutouts ... Attempted nine shots on the season, landing five on net.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Esposito was a four-year player on the varsity soccer team at Ledyard High School (Ledyard, Conn.)...named All-Conference...also ran track for three years in high school.
