The 2009 season was a rebuilding one for the Emmanuel Men's Soccer Program. Head Coach Colin Goin took over the reigns after a seven-year stint under the direction of Julio Avila. The Saints got off to a great start with a 4-0 shut-out of Newbury College in the opening game of the season. The shut-out then led to a tough eight-game slide, which found the Saints at 1-8 heading into October. read more

The Saint Joseph's College Monks posted a 1-0 win over the host Emmanuel College Saints in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's soccer action played at Clemente Field on Saturday afternoon. The loss marked Emmanuel's final match of the regular season, as the Saints end their season at 3-13-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the GNAC. The win boosted St. Joe's ledger to 10-6-1 on the season and 6-2 in the league. The five seniors on the Emmanuel squad (Byron Glaus, Dan D'Amato, Corey, McLean, Taylor Lowe and Shawn Alderson) were honored prior to the start of the game. read more

Despite being out-shot, 14-3, the Rivier College Men's Soccer Team dropped Emmanuel, 1-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) showdown. The victory was the second-straight for the Raiders, who upped their record to 3-11 overall and 2-5 in the league. Wednesday night's win marked the first time this season that the Raiders have won back to back games. The loss dropped Emmanuel to 3-12-1 overall and 1-6-1 in GNAC play. Rivier now sits in a tie with Suffolk University for the 8th spot in the conference standings. read more
