SAINTS TO ATTEND WHITE RIBBON DAY

The 2010 Emmanuel Men's Basketball Team will attend Massachusetts White Ribbon Day on March 2nd. White Ribbon Day is a Men's Initiative Project of Jane Doe, Inc and The Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Members of the Saints men's basketball team will be at the State House this Tuesday (March 2nd) at 1pm for the ceremony. read more

MEN'S HOOP TEAM WORKS WITH LOCAL YOUTH

Several members of the Emmanuel Men's Basketball Team recently helped to run a free basketball clinic for Charlestown youths. The Saints ran drills and played games with the children as part of Sport in Society's one-week basketball camp. The camp was held in the gymnasium at Charlestown High School from 1pm-5pm and was attended by many youngsters from the surrounding neighborhood. MEN'S HOOP TEAM ENDS SEASON WITH OVERTIME LOSS AT JWU

Johnson & Wales sophomore Lamonte Thomas (Providence, R.I.) scored 36 points, including his 1,000th career point to lead the Wildcats men's basketball team to an 85-79 win over Emmanuel in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at the Harborside Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon. Thomas is the first player in the history of the GNAC to record 1,000 points in the first two years of his collegiate career. The loss ends the season for the Saints, who wrap up the 2009-2010 campaign at 4-21 overall and 3-15 in the league. read more
