Emmanuel's senior guard Rob Williams-Hinton will compete on Sunday afternoon (4/19) in the New England Basketball Coaches Association's Division III Senior All-Star game. The NEBCA invited all of the seniors, who were selected 1st-Team All-Conference from each of the New England conferences, to compete in the all-star game. The game will be played at Babson College and tips off at 3:00 p.m. on April 19th. All proceeds from the game will go directly to the Coaches vs. Cancer charity organization. read more

Levi Smith finds himself on the losing end of the stick every night and he loves it. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies, Smith has certainly taken his show on the road. He graduated from Emmanuel College in 2008 as the men's basketball program's all-time leader in blocked shots and the program's fourth all-time leading scorer and subsequently signed on to play for the Washington Generals. The Generals are known world-wide for losing literally thousands of times to the world famous Harlem Globetrotters. Smith and the Generals now face defeat at the hands of the Globetrotters between seven to nine times per week. However, it appears that all of these losses have culminated in a giant win for Levi Smith. read more

The Emmanuel Men's Basketball Team suffered a heart-breaking, 74-72, overtime loss to Saint Joseph's College in Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship. The third-seeded Monks (21-7, 12-6 GNAC) needed overtime to get past the fourth-seeded Saints (17-11, 12-6) in the GNAC final played in the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon. The Monks held a lead for over 39 minutes in regulation, but a two-pointer from Saints forward Tyrone Buchanan (Detroit, MI) as the final buzzer rang tied the game, sending the title bout into overtime. read more
