WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES IN NCAA REGIONAL

The Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country Team wrapped up the 2011 season by competing at the highly competitive NCAA New England Regional Meet on Saturday morning.

AS A SOPHOMORE...Young ran in all seven of the Saints' Cross Country meets during the 2010 season...recorded four personal bests throughout the course of the year...opened the season with a PR (14:14.40) in the Saints' two-mile race at the Fens...ran a personal best three-miler of 20:40 at Massachusetts Maritime Academy's Travis Fuller Invitational...clocked in a PR of 23:18 in the 5k course at the 6th Annual Saints Invitational Franklin Park...wrapped up the season with a personal best 6k of 29:38 in the NCAA Regional meet...was named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team...was awarded the team's Unsung Hero in 2010...also ran sprints and mid-distance races for the Saints Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field programs.

AS A FRESHMAN...Young did not run for the Women's Cross Country Team, but ran sprints and mid-distance races for the Saints Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field programs during her rookie year.
