WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES IN NCAA REGIONAL

The Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country Team wrapped up the 2011 season by competing at the highly competitive NCAA New England Regional Meet on Saturday morning.

EMMANUEL HOSTS 7TH ANNUAL SAINTS CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

The Emmanuel women finished fourth and the men placed fifth in the 7th Annual Saints Cross Country Invitational on Friday night.

AS A FRESHMAN... Raced in seven meets during rookie season for the Saints ... Made collegiate debut on September 4 at The Fens Dual Meet, posting a personal best for a 2 Mile race clocking in at 14:00 for a fifth place finish ... Recorded another personal best on September 11 in an 3 Mile event at the Travis Fuller Invitational, finishing the race in 10th place with a time of 20:21 ... On October 15, posted a solid showing in the Saints Invitational with a time of 22:32, good for a 40th place showing in the 5K event ... Competed in the NCAA Regional race, completing the 6K course at Williams C College on November 13 in 27:32 ... Named the GNAC Rookie of the Week during the weeks of September 6-12 as well as October 11-17 ... Named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll during the week of September 28 - October 3.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Martin was a three-sport athlete for York High School (York, Me.)...participated in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field...captained her Cross Country Team as a senior...placed at the WMC Conference for JV race in 2008 and 2009...qualified for the Outdoor Track State Championship in the Mile.
