MIT took first place as a team in both the men's and women's races. Johnson & Wales rookie Greg Redfield (Penfield, N.Y.) won the men's race with his 8k time of 26:02.50. MIT's sophomore Katherine Eve (Fremont, Calif.) was the women's winner with a 5k time of 18:50.34. With close to 300 runners, this was the largest meet in the five-year history of the event.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The rain and mud brings out the toughness in most cross country runners and the Saints showed they had the endurance and stamina to compete this weekend at Gordon Colleghe's Pop Crowell Invitational. Freshman Joslyn Delsignore (Taunton, Mass.) proved she was able to handle the rain-soaked course. She led the women's team to a 16th place finish out of 30 schools. The next Saints to finish were sophomore Brittany Sorice (Dover, N.H.) and junior Victoria Cole (Carver, Mass.), who were both hampered by injuries. Sophomore, Marissa LaFlamme (Newburyport, Mass.) ran her seasonal best time and she was followed by sophomore Stephanie Gomes (Ludlow, Mass.).]]></description>

The women's 30th Annual Codfish Bowl was held at Franklin Park on Saturday morning. The meet was won by Division I Stony Brook University. MIT, which is ranked 5th nationally and Bates College were the first two Division III teams to finish.
