The Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country Team has been recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as one of the All-Academic Teams for the 2009 season. The Saints recorded a combined grade point average of 3.25 to meet the requirements of All-Academic Team. Emmanuel was one of 153 Division III women's programs nation-wide to receive this honor. read more

Rivier College hosted the 2009 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's and women's cross country championships on a beautiful 60 degree Halloween afternoon. Twelve GNAC teams gathered on Rivier's campus for the women's 5k and the men's 8k races. Emerson took the team championship for the women and Johnson & Wales finished with first place on the men's side. read more

Emmanuel College hosted the 5th Annual Saints Men's and Women's Cross Country Invitational on Friday at Franklin Park. MIT took first place as a team in both the men's and women's races. Johnson & Wales rookie Greg Redfield (Penfield, N.Y.) won the men's race with his 8k time of 26:02.50. MIT's sophomore Katherine Eve (Fremont, Calif.) was the women's winner with a 5k time of 18:50.34. With close to 300 runners, this was the largest meet in the five-year history of the event. read more
