The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams wrapped up another successful season, competing in five regular season meets during the 2009 season and two post-season meets. The Emmanuel women placed 3rd out of 10 teams in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Meet and the men placed 4th out of 9 teams in the GNACs. Emmanuel's sophomore captain Stephen Armstrong (Revere, Mass.) received All-Conference honors by finishing in the top ten at the GNAC Championship. read more

The Emmanuel College Women's Cross Country Team has been recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as one of the All-Academic Teams for the 2009 season. The Saints recorded a combined grade point average of 3.25 to meet the requirements of All-Academic Team. Emmanuel was one of 153 Division III women's programs nation-wide to receive this honor. read more

Rivier College hosted the 2009 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's and women's cross country championships on a beautiful 60 degree Halloween afternoon. Twelve GNAC teams gathered on Rivier's campus for the women's 5k and the men's 8k races. Emerson took the team championship for the women and Johnson & Wales finished with first place on the men's side. read more
