GORHAM and LEWISTON, Maine - Several members of Emmanuel College's Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams competed at the New England Division III Championships on Saturday afternoon. The women's meet was held at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, Maine, while the men's meet was held at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Several school records fell and the Saints had the largest representation of athletes at the meet in Emmanuel program history.

Sophomore Simone Ford became the first All-New England honoree in Emmanuel Women's Indoor Track & Field history, earning the honors in the long jump. Her first and only jump (due to an injury) of 16'6" was good enough for eighth place.

Sophomore Katasi Kulubya lowered her own school record in the 400 meters by over a second with a 15th place time of 61.51. Sophomore Brittany Sorice also improved her own record in the 600 meters, running a time of 143.06 for a 15th place finish. The women's 4 x 400 meter relay team, consisting of Kulubya, junior Irene Limlengco, junior Alison Lynch, and Sorice broke the program record with a time of 4:17.04.

On the men's side, junior Thomas Ryan Maher ran the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.39, just shy of his own personal best.
