Results

Waltham, MA - After a five-week break, the Emmanuel College Indoor Track & Field Teams returned to action on Saturday afternoon. The Saints competed in Brandeis University's Reggie Poyau Memorial Meet. Highlights of the day included junior Cathryn Lariviere (Windham, NH) breaking the program record in the 1000 meters by over 10 seconds. Sophomore Sarah Soldano (Bethel, CT) placed in both the high jump and long jump. Several Emmanuel athletes improved on their personal bests. Freshmen Dana Griffin (Walpole, MA), Maureen Kellett (Westborough, MA), and Elyse Whitehead (Canadaigua,NY) ran their personal bests in the mile. Freshman Shaniqua Eaton (Springfield, MA) established her personal best in the triple jump and 55 meters, while rookie Katherine Fahey (Attleboro, MA) broke her personal record in the 200 meters.

On the men's side, junior Philip Meagher (Amherst, MA) achieved his personal best in the 55 and 200 meters. Freshman John Hieber (Peabody, MA) established his personal best in the 400 meters. Junior Ryan Maher (Gales Ferry, CT) ran well in the 55 meter hurdles and established his personal best in the 200 meters. Several Emmanuel athletes will compete again next Friday (1/25) and Saturday (1/26) at the Boston University Invitational.
