TRACK TEAMS OPEN INDOOR SEASON AT JAY CARSELLA INVITATIONAL
The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams kicked off the 2011-12 season at the Jay Carsella Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Earned the Emmanuel College women's indoor track team's "Unsung Hero" award...named a to the GNAC academic all-conference team...set a new indoor program record in the 55m hurdles, tallying a 9.58 on Jan. 16...also set a new outdoor program record in the 100m hurdles, coming in at 17.49 on March 20.
BEFORE EMMANUEL: Rhode Island Class C champion in the 100m hurdles for 2007 and 2008...qualified and competed for RI state meet during all four years in the 100m hurdles...fifth in the state for the 100m hurdles as a senior in 2008...named MVP for outdoor track in 2008.
